We all hate bills, but not this one. 

Bill has been in the insurance and investment industry for over 10 years, being there for his customers through some of the most turbulent market cycles, regulatory environment change, and life decisions! A family man through and through, Bill is completely driven by the well-being of those he loves. Bill loves his wife, kids and friends more than anything, and lives for the small moments in life, such as going to a restaurant with his family or watching a movie together. Almost as much as those, Bill loves insurance and investment products. 

 

But why? Those are very different things. Insurance and investment is just another monthly bill that are taking away from money to spend today - that's defintiely what he thought, and hundreds of his customers did as well.  Bill came to love these products because they let his customers enjoy the present since they are not worried about their future. This was nothing something he read out of his insurance-training hand out, this was something he painfull learned from his own past.

 

Bill experienced first-hand the drastic impact and consquences an unforseen event can have on individuals and the ones they love. Almost 20 years ago, Bill and his wife Renu were involved in a head-on vehicle collision, being struck by a semi-truck on a busy highway. With great fortune, both husband and wife came out alive, but with drastic physical impairments, pains, and lifestyle changes. With 3 young children's futures in their hands, Bill and Renu had to make extremely difficult choices and endure great struggles to keep their family on track. The pain and suffering didn't rest on Bill and Renu alone - the experience was an emotional, mental, physical and financial battle for their entire family and friends to share. If Bill didn't have the support and love from all the people around him who never even asked as much as a "thanks" in return, life could be very different. Bill got lucky, but Bill has always been a family man after all.

 

Fast forward to the present, and hindsight is 20/20. Bill knew that the lives of everyone around him would have been much easier if there had been some safety net in the event of his accident. Him and Renu may suffer the physical pains and impairments, but he would not have the mental and emotional exhaustion of fearing for his children's future or asking help of others. Bill never wanted a disaster to enter his life - no one does - but he hadn't planned for one. That was his one mistake, and one that he doesn't want to see anyone to make or go through. For Bill, being an insurance agent isn't a pay-cheque or a job, it's a crusade to protect families from what he had to go through, especially those that won't get as lucky as he did.

 

That is why Bill is passionate about insurance and investment products. They are far more than another monthly expense or burden on lifestyle. It could be the difference in sending your children to a good school, getting a new car, going on vacation, straining personal relationships or just plain taking the time you need to get better. It could be the difference of waging a 10-year long battle in all facets of your life, where the victims caught in the cross-fire are almost certaintly all those that support or depend on you. It could be the difference between your family's mental, physical and financial well-being.
